Untitled

                 The dogwoods are in bloom
                 giving lie to Winter’s hold
                 I trudge through muddy roads
thoughts of Summer, of war’s end
                 and of life rising again
                 out of the Tigris plain.

  1. I like this very much dear lady. A couple of comments: might this be better without punctuation? At the moment it is oddly punctuated, and the capitalization of Thoughts sticks out; also the last word should be "plain".

  2. I wrote it for my son in college when he asked for comment about first Iraq war. He said something like"only my Mother!'
